Overview
She was originally an ordinary schoolgirl with no military connections. She was recognised by Major Mio Sakamoto for her high potential as a Witch and scouted by her.
She is the daughter of Ichiro Miyafuji, a renowned scientist known as the 'father of the Striker Unit'. Her mother, Seika Miyahfuji, and grandmother, Yoshiko Akimoto, both maintained high magical powers well past their twenties, making Yoshika from an extremely rare family bloodline.
Initially, she disliked the war that 'took her father away', but while following in his footsteps to Britannia, she was caught up in a battle with the Neuroi and decided that she wanted to 'protect everyone with her own strength'. She accepts Sakamoto's scouting and throws herself into battle as a Witch.
Personality
A person who is serious and single-minded, but whose single-mindedness sometimes makes her blind to the world around her. Friendly and righteous, she never gives up and always pushes forward with a positive attitude, and has a strong mental fortitude to make the most of the most critical moment. She is cheerful and tries her best in everything she does, and despite being a rookie, she is able to interact with everyone in the unit.
Because she joined the military on a spur-of-the-moment decision, she had no military training and did not have a good grasp of the military's circumstances. She often acts arbitrarily and violates orders.
In particular, she and Lynette Bishop, who was also a rookie, have become best friends ever since she helped her to win her first battle.
Conversely, Perrine H. Clostermann is jealous of Yoshika because she has the attention of Major Sakamoto, whom Perrine has a crush on, and she calls Yoshika a 'Rug rat' and pokes at her. Nevertheless, Perrine and Yoshika were later able to become friends.
