The youngest in the Hiiragi Family, and the younger fraternal twin sister of Kagami. Her main characterstics are her short purple hair with her yellow ribbon, and is considered to be the cutest character in Lucky Star by the fans.

She used to be in the same class with Konata Izumi and Miyuki Takara from the high school days. Aside from her classmates and her sister, she is also seen to be close with Ayano Minegishi and also Hiyori Tamura.
Though it is initially unknown of her whereabouts after she graduated from high school, in the official guidebook "Konata is my waifu!!" (2009 December publication), it is learned that she went to college and her major seems to be focused on Cooking. It also states on whether her decision will lead to Kagami's increase on weight or not.
