About

A girl with an active, cheerful, straightforward and friendly personality. The story's protagonist, Garlot, is her childhood friend.

She has short strawberry blond hair, a color unusual for native Bronquians, and turquoise eyes. She has a blue tattoo on her left shoulder and pierced ears.

Her costume consists of a pair of denim short shorts and a sports bra-like top that only cover about as much as underwear, plus white garter socks and a cyan scarf. She wears simple armor on her arms and keeps a dagger on her belt.

Due to this shocking ensemble other characters believe Siskier to be an exhibitionist, but on the official twitter Siskier herself claims that she dresses like this because it's easier to move around, since mobility is important on the battlefield. But whenever the party goes somewhere cold, Siskier winds up miserable.

Siskier was born and raised in the Nether district of Tiera, a slum on the western side of the city. Her exact family circumstances are unknown, but she has dialogue implying she's never known her mother, at the very least.

Because she's been oppressed by the rich and nobility her whole life, she despises the upper classes with all her heart.

Back when Garlot was half-wild from the stress of his father's abuse, Siskier saw how lonely he was, and began to play together with him out of a desire to cheer him up. Even now, she sticks by his side through thick and thin and watches over him warmly.

In some routes of the game, Siskier has a great influence on Garlot's chosen path.

Siskier's hobby is collecting scarves. According to the unit demo her favorite food is salad, but she also loves sweets. Jenon says she's self-conscious about her weight.

Relationships

Amongst the Tiera Trio, Siskier is the life of the party and keeps the boys' spirits up. Since Jenon, Medoute, and Velleman are rational (or to put it less diplomatically, cold) in their judgments often, Siskier can often be seen getting frustrated with them alongside Garlot.

Siskier has romantic feelings for Garlot, and as one of the people who understands him best, she encourages him when he's feeling lost or upset. Garlot himself doesn't know about Siskier's crush on him, but he adores her almost as if she's his sister or mother, and is deeply dependent on her emotional support. To Garlot, Siskier is irreplaceable.

Siskier herself is unsure of how to confess her feelings, and to make things worse, whenever she and Garlot have a good mood going, some oblivious jerk appears and ruins it. Nessiah shares her woes in this regard, particularly in the canon route.

Siskier also doesn't seem to know how to feel about how Garlot goes around innocently setting romance flags without realizing that's what he's doing.

Siskier is constantly annoyed with Jenon, and frequently tells him off for his lack of delicacy and inconsiderate sexual harassment. She also knocks him off his high horse whenever he gets an inflated head. Because of Jenon's usual behavior, Siskier has no idea that he has a crush on her.

Garlot, who is aware of Jenon's crush, tends to refer to his and Siskier's bickering as "lover's quarrels", which Siskier hates, since she loves Garlot. Ah, young love.

Despite all of this, it's not like Siskier doesn't get along with Jenon; in actuality they have a number of scenes together, and Siskier is often the first to notice and check in when Jenon is in low spirits.

Siskier is on good terms with all the girls of Gram Blaze, and even leads them on girls-only shopping trips when they're all on vacation.

While Siskier admires Medoute for her life experience, she doesn't seem to think much of Medoute's more masculine interests, and has been known to hurt Medoute's feelings about this.

Siskier's also the only member of the party who's been able to get Aegina to abandon her stiff manners, and because Siskier gave Zilva advice when the latter was at her lowest, Zilva develops feelings for her.

Siskier tries to act like a big sister or mother to Eimi since Eimi is only eleven, and is invested in keeping her safe. But Eimi isn't a fan of how Siskier treats her like a child, and this disconnect may cause disaster in a certain route.

Siskier is not shy about her hatred of nobles. At the beginning of the story she's constantly on guard around Velleman, and sometimes runs her mouth around Luciana and Aegina and has to backpedal for fear of hurting their feelings. However, as the story goes on, Siskier comes to acknowledge that Velleman is serious about wanting to fix the empire, and begins to think of him as not so bad for a noble.

In Combat

Siskier wields a crossbow on the battlefield. As an archer unit, her initial attacks cannot be countered by the enemy, but she's not able to counterattack either. However, Siskier has exceptional mobility thanks to being a scout-type unit, and is the first character in the Union series with the unit ability "Can move after Duels", so the player can make use of this to cover this weakness.

Her other unit abilities are "Evade criticals" and "Advantage on street & road terrain".

As for her stats, Siskier has somewhat high TEC and LUK but her GEN is painfully low. Her final stats are on the balanced side, but none of them naturally hit 6 stars, meaning she's a little lacking in firepower. She levels up quickly.

Her default final stats are 3/4/5/5, for a total of 17 stars. However, her GEN, ATK, and TEC don't reach these totals until she's at max level, so she can be a little helpless without doping, MVP, or equipment to bolster her stats.

Siskier's special skill Steal can be used to steal an enemy's equipped item if her TEC is higher than their GEN.

Miscellaneous

Siskier's outrageous costume has a bit of a story behind it in game production.

When Blaze Union's character designer Rui Kousaki got the overall prompts for creating Siskier, among the instructions was the order "Grew up in the slums, so she's dressed light". However, where Sting intended this to mean that Siskier shouldn't wear much armor and doesn't have a large wardrobe, Kousaki misunderstood this, and drew Siskier as not wearing much clothing in general.

And yet, for some reason that design got the OK. All y'all good over there, Sting?

Spoilers

六周年

As many fans had expected, Siskier dies at the beginning of A route.

Velleman grows jealous of Garlot's popularity and comes to fear his power, and so he leaks the plan to begin a revolution to the government and lures Baldus to Gram Blaze's barracks. Siskier leads the escape and goes on ahead to scout the terrain, but when she arrives at the meeting place to wait for the others, Velleman captures her. He uses her as a hostage to force Gram Blaze to battle him.

When Velleman realizes that he cannot defeat Gram Blaze by brute force, he threatens Siskier with a blade and demands that Jenon cut Garlot's head off if they value her life.

But Siskier can't bear to watch her beloved Garlot agree to die for her, and so she leaps off the cliff she and Velleman are on, sustaining a fatal injury. Siskier's suicide becomes the trigger for Garlot's sealed demon blood to temporarily overwhelm the seal.

At the end of the battle, Siskier dies in Garlot's arms at daybreak. Her death is deeply traumatic to both Garlot and Jenon, and creates a rift between them.

Further, Garlot's desperation to prevent another tragedy like this from happening spurs him to unseal his blood, thus leading to his becoming even more traumatized by his reunion with his abusive mother and then Medoute and Jenon's eventual betrayal.

Even three years later, the impact of Siskier's death on Gulcasa can still be seen in his self-destructive behavior and his codependency towards his friends.

Despite her tragic fate in the canon route, Siskier survives in every other ending of the game.

During the C route Siskier is the most affected by Jenon's death, but according to the game staff, she and Garlot officially become a couple after the events of the C ending.
