Okinawa

Main and largest island of the Okinawa and Ryukyu Islands Chains.

Officially known as Okinawa Main Island (Okinawa-hontō or 沖縄本島), It is a popular tourist destination. Okinawa's capital is Naha (那覇市). 25% of Okinawa is also home to a number of US Military forces, including the 18th WG based at Kadena Air Base, which was captured during the Pacific War in 1945.
