Synopsis

Joshiraku (じょしらく, lit. "Rakugo Girls"), is a satirical comedy manga that follows the everyday life of a group of rakugoka girls. A group of girls discuss random things and usually reach an unusual or humorous conclusion that's far from the initial discussion topic.

The author for this manga is penned by Kouji Kumeta, who is famous for his work on Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.

Kigurumi Haroukitei's (波浪浮亭木胡桃, Harōkitei Kigurumi), also known as Kigu-chan (キグちゃん), name is thought to be based on a certain Hello Kitty (某猫) and kigurumi (着ぐるみ), but it is probably best not to pursue this in detail.

She used to be a character who acted natural in order to live up to the expectations of those around her, but in fact she has a black-hearted side.

Tetora Bouhatei's (防波亭手寅, Bōhatei Tetora), also known as Tetora (テトラ), name is a pun on wave breaker (防波堤, shōha burokku) and tetrapod (テトラポッド, tetorapoddo).

In she early days, she was unremarkable and had no outstanding features, but later it was revealed that she had amazing crisis-avoidance abilities, which led to her transformation into a role of leading the four from the safe zone.

Gankyou Kuurubiyuutei

Gankyou Kuurubiyuutei's (空琉美遊亭丸京, Kūrubiyūtei Gankyō), also known as Gan-chan (ガンちゃん), name is thought to come from the phonetic reading of cool beauty (クールビューティー) and glasses (眼鏡).

She is an all-rounder who is in charge of introducing, connecting, and ending a story, and sometimes even making sexy jokes.
