Overview
Inuyasha (犬夜叉) is a shōnen manga series by Rumiko Takahashi.
It was serialised in Weekly Shōnen Sunday for 11 years and seven months from 1996 to 2008. There were 56 volumes published in total.
The first TV animation series ran from 2000 to 2004, and the second season aired in the late-night slot from 2009 to 2010. It has also been adapted into a video game and a stage play.
An original anime work, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon (半妖の夜叉姫), which follows the story, is being broadcast from 2020 to 2022.
