Cute

Cute (キュート), or cuteness refers something that gives the feeling of wanting to protect something fragile, such as a child. It is also used to describe how a small object makes you feel affection for it.

Overview

Cute (キュート, kyūto) is used to describe something adorable, lovable, or quaint that one is attracted to and wants to cherish. Usually, having cuteness in stuff is equivalent to justice.

This tag is frequently used for cats or Pokémon related illustrations. One common misconception was that the tag itself is also used on human characters. While this is acceptable, the better tag for these illustrations would be oe.

Sometimes it is rarely associated with "Unyuu", a Japanese onomatopoeic word commonly shown as a sound effect when hugging things that are fluffy and soft (e.g. Totoro).
