Introduction
Chibi Miku-san (ちびミクさん) is an online manga strip created, and drawn by Minami. A very adorable story about a miniature version of Hatsune Miku and her friends in a slice of life style storytelling.
This manga strip started on June 5th, 2008, submitted in the form of 4-koma almost daily (not anymore recently), as of 2010 April it reached 450 chapters so far. The series went on hiatus starting in August 22, 2014 before returning in September 15, 2021 under the title of Chibi Miku-san EX.
Characteristics
One of the appealing points of this 4-koma, aside from it's extremely cute characters, is that almost every strip shows no dialogue, effectively making it easy to understand (thus enjoyed by both Japanese and English speaking fans alike).
The setting of the story takes place in this city called Bokarocho (歩家路町), which is similar to the English word "Vocal", while cho means town, localized by the western fans as Vocalotown, a place for Vocaloids.
Its heartwarming and fuzzy type stories attracted a lot of viewers, and it became one of the most famous webcomic circulating around today.
Characters
Main Characters
Chibi Miku-san
The series main character, younger sister of Hatsune Miku. Being extremely small and young in age, her actions and thoughts are potrayed a small little girl. She is highly active and holds a strong curiousity, and also a very friendly girl. Her favourite food is Welsh Onion.
Kagamine Rin
The female twin of the two who looks after Chibi Miku-san.
She's a passionate gamer, holds a PSP. She is seen very nonchalant about just anything, but is actually capable in most things when she puts her heart into it.
Usually seen pulling various pranks and harmless jokes on Chibi Miku-san, although it stems from her playful manner and usually doing it just for laughs; or she thinks that Chibi Miku-san is too cute not to bully. She actually cares about her a lot, and sometimes treat her well in some situations.
She is also seen to be extremely scary when provoked - and shows no mercy when countering. However, she almost never raise her hand against her sister Hatsune Miku, which shows that she actually respects her sister.
Her expression changes when she starts singing, and is surprisingly good at it.
Her only weakness : Thunder.
Kagamine Len
The male twin of the two who looks after Chibi Miku-san
A kind brother who does his best to satisfy anyone around him. He is also afraid of Rin, and dare not pull anything against her.
He is also potrayed as a character full with misfortunes, like getting into accidents most of the time (thanks to Rin), doesn't recieve anything back after commiting so much, and so on.
Loves his sister Hatsune Miku.
Surprisingly he is also a person in charge of cooking and serving hotpot dish, as well as sweets.
Chibi Miku-san family
Hatsune Miku
Chibi Miku-san's sister. Known affectionally by the fans as "Miku nee-san". She doesn't make much appearance as she is always seen going out to work (which is singing).
She is a gentle girl who is always seen smiling, and also a charismatic sister who does almost everything flawlessly. However, she is actually easily scared, even on Rin sometimes.
She is also scary when being provoked, presumbably even worse than Rin herself.
She also lives together with Kaito and Meiko.
She is also seen with souvenirs whenever she came back from working, and is shown to have a unique (note : exquisite) taste in choosing them.
KAITO
An actor, and singer. His landmark song is "Yokubou, Aisu to tomo ni" (lit. Desire, together with ice cream)
Though being Hatsune Miku's guardian, it is unknown whether they both are related in blood or not. He has an affinity towards ice cream, and has a skill of a patissier in ice cream making.
Though bright and cheerful, he seems to be even more unfortunate than Len.
MEIKO
An actress and singer. Does duet with Kaito sometimes.
Though being Hatsune Miku's guardian, it is also unknown whether they both are related in blood or not. Likes to drink, and loves adorable stuff. She sometimes take pictures of them, and also forces them to cosplay.
She also likes to bully Kaito, and sometimes other characters as well.
She is much bolder than Rin and for some unknown reason she does not show any mercy towards Kaito. However she does not do it out of any hatred, and only does it for fun.
Friends of Chibi Miku-san
Chibi Neru-san
A self proclaimed rival of Chibi Miku-san, but more of a friend and companion instead of rival.
Though she likes Ren, she is somewhat unlucky in this matter.
She is not really good with dogs for some reason.
Chibi Teto-san
Chibi Miku-san's friend. A fan of Kaito. Easily identified with her symbolic drill shaped twintail.
She has an unknown potential of being the strongest gamer in the series, beating even Rin herself (which Rin never won once against her). However, she is dense to realize her own ability.
She likes animals, but is allergic to it.
Chibi Suzu-san
Friend of Chibi Miku-san, first apperance at chapter 301.
Easily hungry and has a stomach of a black hole, to the point she can even handle Teto's terrible cooking.
She also has a terrible vocal power that scares animals away (and breaks glasses).
An original VOCALOID character created by the author himself. Her full name is Kiyone Suzu.

Yowane Haku
Shop owner of a candy shop "Yowane". One of Hatsune Miku's childhood friend. Though she handles the shop in top shape, she is also a little mischevious. Like her name suggests, she is easily prone to sickness, and has a constant backpain. However she is also the highest ranked character by the fans of the series.
FLchan
Shop owner of a fancy shop "FL", located just beside Yowane.
A clumsy character. She can be so clumsy to the point of hurting herself, which worry Yowane sometimes. Yowane sometimes helped her out in managing her shop until she recovers.
Though she is capable of keeping Megurine Luka on check, she doesn't seem to be convincing to Luka sometimes due to her clumsiness.
Megurine Luka
A shopkeeper working in FL. Though she seems to have no eyes on cute things, she seems to be very fixtated on Chibi Miku-san. To the point of being labelled a lolicon. Known affectionately by the fans as "Megurineesan".
Yokune Ruko
Another one of Hatsune Miku's childhood friend. Together with Yowane Haku, they used to play a lot when they were young. She moved outside of Vocalotown for work reasons soon after. She is also very rich, owning a private mansion of her own.
She is quiet and silent, but is not without emotions. She is surprisingly going along well with Kaito's antics, given her personality. She is also good at concealing and hiding herself and appear without anyone noticing.
Defoko
Ruko's servant. She has a power to one hit KO any insects, which her actions shocked Hatsune Miku the first time they met.
Though serious when working, she is extremely playful when it comes to playing with kids.
Momone Momo
Ruko's maid. Similar to Luka, she is captivated (quite badly) by Chibi Miku-san's adorable existence.
Others
Hamo
A puppy taken in as a pet by Chibi Miku-san. Named by Rin (In actuality the readers who took part in the poll). Smart, active and can be quite cautious of it's surroundings.
Yowaneko
A white cat is always seen with Yowane Haku and her candy shop. It's origin can be traced back to the creator, CAFFEIN who created Yowane Haku.
Negipara-san
A plushie who is seen holding a welsh onion on it's back. Chibi Miku-san's favourite plushie.
Unknown
True to it's name, it is an unknown mysterious...something (in a form of plushie). And for some reasons unknown, it is famous and everyone wants a copy of it.
